Intersections + Conversations Spring Together!

  • Delta Arts Center 2611 New Walkertown Road Winston-Salem, NC, 27101 United States (map)

Organized out of the Winston Salem Creative Innovation Lab, Coffee Park Arts, Delta Arts and Authoring Action joined together to create opportunities for collaboration and discussion through a variety of artistic mediums.

Join your neighbors and community members to explore issues of race, class, and power through a variety of artistic expression and mediums. One act plays, music, spoken word, visual art and discussions.

INTERSECTIONS + CONVERSATIONS: The People’s Gallery at Delta Arts Center will feature works by Fayetteville State University Art Professor and Detroit native Dwight Smith, from his series of drawings and other works titled, “Legacy of the Creative Spirits” and will feature a “Conversation Zone” for patrons to sound off on their experiences with the Arts in Winston-Salem. The Simona Atkins Allen Gallery will feature 16 North Carolina artists’ works exhibited together for the annual Invitational 2018 @ Delta.

Our intention is to provide a platform for arts activists looking to create awareness around complex issues in the community, in particular, the issues of race, class, power, gender and privilege.
