In Their Own Words

Thanks so much for such an eye-opening, soul-shaking performance! It's obvious that you are passionate about life and your art. You've given me new ways to think about teens and education — about myself and how I fit into your lives.  — C. Higgins, participant, P. Buckly Moss Foundation for Children's Education Conference, Virginia

I progressed slowly…like a city bus. But when it was all said and done I felt like as big as a giant. Thank you Authoring Action for letting me shine like a gold reflection from the sun. — B. Kivett, Authoring Action youth

Wow! Great! Wonderful! I was impressed with the talents of these teenagers. They were confident and their intelligence was so evident. Their story line was very easy to follow. The leaders of this group are to be commended for a job well done.  This group should take their show on the road.  They would have a great audience with highschools and middle schools.  As you can tell — I was blown away! — L. Wickstrom, Roanoke

"SOLVATION!"

Passion for words; passion for performing those words; passion for the power
of words. The tears running down the face of a teenage boy as he gave us his
poem is, itself, a testimonial to the power of this program.

Solvation

They were more than fabulous. What Nathan brought out in them in five weeks was phenomenal. Words, if I could find them, would be
inadequate to describe their accomplishments. The impact he had on those youngsters will have a ripple affect in many areas of their lives. Many,
many kudos to Nathan for this exceptional performance. Strongly recommend seeing this group in performance.

A mom's point of view

We live in a world full of money, hate and greed
Nobody has time to stop…think and help those in need.

But you find the time in your busy day
When so many others just look away
Bringing with you the energy to plant an ever-changing seed
To the next generation of our nation, who truly are at need

Promise just gone down the drain, like a seed that never takes root
Withers and dies because of no rain
The cycle began with bullies at school, making fun, calling names, instilling
shame and just being cruel
