A Taste of the South
GET “A TASTE OF THE SOUTH” ON NOVEMBER 18
Live Music, Southern Cuisine, NC Wine and Beer Tastings will Highlight Second Annual Fundraising Event at Winston-Salem’s Millennium Center 
A Taste of the South will take place on Thursday, November 18 during the Arts Council’s “6 Days in November” from 6:00 until 10:00 PM at downtown Winston Salem’s Millennium Center, located at 101 W Fifth Street.
Tickets now on sale! Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased at Dewey’s Bakery in Thruway Shopping Center (262 S Stratford Road) and Foothills Brewing (638 W Fourth Street). Tickets will also be sold at the door on the evening of the event and can be reserved by calling 336.831.1905. Ticket price includes wine and beer tastings, southern cuisine, a silent auction and live entertainment. Wine and beer will also be available for sale by the glass.
Proceeds from “A Taste of the South” will benefit Authoring Action.
SNEAK PEEK: A sampling of some of the city’s best Southern cuisine will be provided by Bib’s Downtown, Dewey’s Bakery, Finnigan’s Wake, Foothills Brewing, Mozelle’s and NOMA. A selection of local wines and beers will be poured by winemakers from Cellar 4201, Childress Vineyards, Raffaldini Vineyards, RayLen Vineyards, Sanders Ridge Winery, Westbend Vineyards and Foothills Brewing.
Live Entertainment will feature renowned local bands The Bo-Stevens, The Martha Bassett Band, as well as Keith Byrd, Charles Burns and Chris Murrell. The event will also include a silent auction featuring an array of local art, entertainment packages and much more.
Additional partners include the Millennium Center, Black Business Ink, Skirt! Magazine, 104.1 WTQR Radio and The Winston-Salem Journal. Audio and sound are being generously provided by Mr. Bill’s Productions.
